Boston Police have charged a 17-year-old with a shooting outside a Roxbury housing complex Saturday night that injured three young children.
Police arrested Jermell Robinson on Tuesday night on charges that include assault with intent to murder. The Jamaica Plain resident is expected to be arraigned this morning at Roxbury District Court.
The children, two 11-year-old boys and a 12-year-old, were shot at about 8 p.m. outside the Academy Homes I apartment complex in Roxbury, which has historically been a hot spot for gang violence and where tenants are organizing to increase security.
The children were taken to Boston Medical Center and Children's Hospital with what police described at the time as non-life-threatening injuries.

The unmanned Chandrayaan 1 spacecraft blasted off smoothly from a launch pad in southern Andhra Pradesh to embark on a two-year mission of exploration.
